Thank you for visiting Storybook Sites! We apologize, but the site will be closed for the rest of the year. I will not be accepting anymore custom website orders, one of a kind website orders, or artwork orders. The holidays are a special time and since they are fast approaching, I've decided to make this decision to allow more family time.
When we return in January, all of our designs will be budget designs. There will be no more custom work. The reason for this is because of limitation to my schedule. There will also be no more request a one of a kind design or any one of a kind design work. because clients are not completing their payment plans to purchase designs and in addition are making tons of changes to the higher prices web designs. Its a money sink for me to devote so much time into these kind of designs and then have them changed by buyers.
In this economy, I feel it will be best to discontinue ooak's and custom work altogether. I understand that moms out there are trying to make it on a small budget and so that is why when we return next year, there will be tons of budget designs to meet the interest of virtually anyone. I apologize to those who were planning on getting a custom website design or a one of kind design, but because of these projects, I have been behind weeks and weeks of work all year and it gets to a mom like me to see moms needing work done and I'm not capable of devoting all the time it takes to such projects.
Some of you are aware that I am working on a cart software project that has been in the making for most of this year. The designs that I will be selling will conveniently plug into this cart system and can be installed with the click of a mouse. All the new budget designs will be instant download and instantly installed by yourself! So no more waiting and wondering when I will get around to installing your purchase. You will have more control over your purchases and YOU call the shots :) I believe that this will be a pleasant breathe of fresh air needed in the web design world. It will be awesome for you, my clients, to be able to browse, purchase, and then simply upload your web design all by yourself will no expert knowledge.
All the website designs will also have matching email templates, newsletter, business cards, banners, and ebay products. I will also be developing a logo creator for the site so that when you purchase a design you can then also create your own logo for your website via our logo creator and simply upload it. This will be a free service and will utilize storybook artwork pieces that you may add to your logo.
I again apologize for the change of services, but there comes a time for each of us when we must evaluate our business load and when it gets too heavy a decision must be made to rework services so that everyone is happy. I've been frustrated and so have clients by the absence of available free time to work on these tedious projects. Unfortunately it comes with the industry. All webdesigners face the issue and I believe I've found a solution that will work out in everyones favor.
If you have an outstanding project with me, you will not be affected by these changes. This has been put into effect so that I CAN get all this work done this year without email interruptions and inquiries and of course to prevent orders on services that payment doesnt get completed on. All big projects have been completed but for a few small ends and tweaks. And all small projects will be completed asap, for example matchables, banners, etc.
